Mindelixir, A.K.A. Bill Schimel, is a Charlotte, North Carolina, based electronic music producer from Wyoming whose productions are heavily inspired by video games, with equal parts both sexy and sci-fi in nature. A bass scientist, and founder of Bass Church, his skills have been influential to the rise of bass music culture throughout the Southeast region of the U.S. In the past, he has performed with the likes of artists such as Flying Lotus, Photek, Skream and Joker, and he isn’t going to stop there. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to float through the dimensions of our universe while swaying to the beat of a freelance dance anthem, this LP is right up your alley. With hints of trap, glitch, bass, hip hop and more, Mindelixir’s latest release is the quintessential soundtrack for all of summer’s laidback shenanigans — whether it’s lounging by the pool with your favorite 12-ounce drank, cruising down the avenues in your convoy expedient, or roaming the streets through the star-caked hours of the night.
